Fab fundraising ideas!

During Christian Aid Week, children from all over the UK and Ireland cook up crazy ways to raise money for Christian Aid. If you’d like to join in this year, check out these ideas:

Three boys sat at computer desk
Ben, Tim and Fraser, from Kirkcaldy in Scotland, raised £158.50 by giving up the TV and computer games for Christian Aid Week.
'It was quite hard,' they said. 'But everybody in the church sponsored us, and it felt good collecting the money after it was all over!'
On your bike

Chris, 13, from Kent, cycled all the way from London to the south of France, a massive 850 miles! He managed to raise over £12,000, which he donated to Christian Aid.

Boy on pogo stick hopping across bridge
Hop to it! Andrew, 13, hopped across the Erskine Bridge in Scotland on a pogo stick.
Toy story

Pupils at Holy Cross Primary School in Barnsley held their own bring and buy toy sale. They donated toys they no longer wanted and got some cool ones from their classmates in return!

Four girls holding certificate, with Christian Aid poster in background
Jessica, Ellie, Abbie, Amelia and Sian held a street stall and gave the profits to Christian Aid.
They sold cookies and key rings and played games like ‘guess the number of items in a jar’ and ‘name the cuddly toy’
Keepy-uppy

Why not see how long you can keep a ball or bean bag in the air without letting it touch the ground, and ask people to sponsor you? You could set yourself an extra challenge by inventing some new rules, like swapping legs after every 10 touches, or doing it wearing silly clothes...
