Where does the money go?

Every year, thousands of young people raise money during Christian Aid week. But where does your money go? Here are some answers:

Magic mosquito nets
Malaria is a serious disease spread by mosquito bites. £11 will pay for a mosquito net, helping protect people against malaria.
Terrific teachers
Many children in countries like India don’t get the chance to go to school. £40 could pay for a teacher for a month.
Wonderful wells
Often, children have to miss school because they have to walk a long way from where they live to fetch drinking water for their family.
Two girls drawing water from a well
Girls draw water from a well. It's the only source of clean drinking water in their village
£235 buys a well, giving a village in Bangladesh clean drinking water.

When you add them all up, every single penny makes a difference.
