Breno's story

Breno, 11, from Sunyani in Ghana would love to be a doctor when he's older. But there’s not much chance of that because his mum Agatha may not have the money to send him to college. Agatha is a chicken farmer and she is finding it difficult to sell her chickens for a good price. That’s because people can buy chickens brought in from other countries for less money.

'If there were no chickens from abroad, I would be able to sell my chickens for more money.  I would be able to send my children to school, pay for doctors and medicines and get a bigger house,’ says Agatha.

Breno hopes that trade rules will change so the government in Ghana can support chicken farmers.
