Help make the UK’s longest woven petition

What do you want the government to do about poverty? Young people across the UK are helping us make the UK’s longest-ever woven petition. The hopes and wishes that young people have for poor countries will be woven into it. What's more, it will also be a call to action - for MPs to take notice of what you think, and help us to make a fairer world.

Children writing their wishes on strips of paper
Children in Leeds tell the government what to do!
Petition the PM
Each contribution will be hand-written on a strip of paper, joining responses from hundreds of other young people. The petition will be an amazing 114 metres long (the length of Downing Street) and will be presented to Number 10 (where the Prime Minister lives) by young Christian Aid volunteers this summer.
Take notice of this lot!

'Give a quarter of tax to poor countries and stop pollution,' says Sam, 10

'If the kids are prepared to give some moeny the government should be prepared to give money to poor people,' says Imogen, 9

'Cut down the amountof cars and make cars electric so there is less pollution,' says Molly, 10

'You should listen to kids more because kids have really good ideas for the government and the country,' says Conner, 9
