Christian Aid appeal

Christian Aid is asking people to give money to help millions of people in African countries who don’t have enough food to eat.

In Ethiopia, a country in east Africa, for example, the crops didn’t grow this year because it didn’t rain when it was expected to. Eleven million people in Ethiopia now face extreme hunger.

Rising prices of basic things like rice and maize mean that many people across Africa aren’t able to afford to buy food to feed their families. And even though countries in Africa are being hit hardest by the problem, food shortages are affecting people in countries all over the world.

How to help

Christian Aid partners are helping by giving people seeds and showing farmers different ways to plant and grow food to adapt to different weather. It’s a big job, which is why we need your help.
