Chart-topper Lemar went on a special trip to find out about Christian Aid’s work in Uganda in east Africa.

Lemar talking to boys in a camp in Gulu, northern Uganda. These children had to run away from their homes with their families to escape attack from the rebels

He visited camps for people who had been forced to leave their homes during the 21 years of fighting between government soldiers and rebels, and met people who were being helped by Christian Aid partners YWAM, TEDDO and CPA.

'We worry about someone we love getting mugged in London, but this is on a different level.'

'I knew there had been conflict in Uganda, but I didn’t know the depth of it and how bad things are,' says Lemar.
